Kayla Hamilton, 20, has been identified as the woman who was found dead and is now the subject of an active homicide investigation as detectives with the Aberdeen Police Department attempt to identify and locate possible suspects.
Shortly before 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday, July 27, officers and paramedics from the Aberdeen Fire Department responded to the 100 block of East Inca Street for a reported cardiac arrest, according to the police department.
Upon arrival, they found Hamilton’s body "suffering from injuries consistent with a homicide.”
No cause of death has been released by investigators, as her body was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Boston for further evaluation.
Police said that the investigation into Hamilton’s death “is active and ongoing.” No other details were immediately released by the department.
